Unfortunately, this word HATER had morphed into an extremely overused and hackneyed catchphrase by church goers who are in perpetual sin. They spurn any criticism of their conduct. Today, it seems as if everyone who has a healthy criticism for another person is considered a hater. Most of the time, those people usually know in their hearts their conduct is wrong, but just don't want to be confronted by others for it. It is often used as a defense mechanism to ward off legitimate criticism. The word I love so dearly out of the urban dictionary has now been tainted by insecure, high minded, selfishly ambitious folks, who think they can never be wrong, nor can their conduct ever be questioned.
I feel silly for even addressing this street slang issue. It has been in my heart for a LONG TIME, and now is the perfect time to address it.
The word hater is a term which has been turned into urban slang, and has been used often liberally in many settings, and not just the urban streets of America.
